Tortilla Chip with Tomato Salsa


Tortilla chip is one of my favorite snack. Cut corn tortillas into wedges and then fried it, eat with tomato salsa.

Ingredients:

  • 10 Tortillas
  • Vegetable oil for frying 
  • Salt 
Tomato Salsa:

  • 1 medium sized fresh tomato, stem removed and finely diced
  • 1/2 onion, finely diced
  • 2 jalapeno chili pepper. finely diced 
  • 3 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • salt and pepper


Method:

  1. Cut each tortilla into a small triangles. 
  2. Heat up 3 inches vegetable oil in a deep saute pan.  Fry tortilla in a small batches until crispy and golden brown. Remove tortilla from pan and drain it with paper towel. Sprinkle with salt. 
  3. Combine all the salsa ingredients in a medium sized bowl. Served tortilla with tomato salsa.

Hot Pepper Pasta


Ingredients:
-1 pound fresh pasta
-1/2 cup olive oil
-2 large garlic cloves
-Hot red pepper flakes
-Fresh grounded black pepper
-Parsley

Method:
1.Boiled pasta in a large pot until al-dente
2.Heat olive oil in a large skillet on medium-low heat. Add the garlic and hot pepper flakes and cook until garlic is fragrant.
3.Add the pasta, salt and fresh pepper. Toss vigorously with tongs, moistening with some of the reserved pasta water. Add the parsley and toss again. Serve immediately.

Fresh Pasta

If you make too much pasta, you can freeze the extra batch, or let it dry and store it covered in a dry place.

Ingredient:
-3 cups all-purpose flour, unsifted
-4 eggs
-salt to taste

Method:
1.Put the flour and salt in the middle and mix together with your hands.Take a rubber spatula and neatly push the flour into a small mound.
2.With your hand, make a hole in the middle of the mound. One at a time, crack the eggs and drop them into the well. Using a fork, slowly incorporated the flour into the egg until the dough is stiff and all the flour is mixed in.
3.Form the dough into a ball and knead the dough until it is fairly smooth, which should take 7-10 min. Let it rest for 30 min. Now you ready to make your pasta.

Es Putar



Es putar is a traditional ice cream from indonesia made from coconut milk. In traditional way es putar only have one flavour, sometimes we eat it with hamburger buns, ice cream cone or in a cup serve with tapai*.

Chocolate Yogurt Pudding

Ingredients:
-
1/2 cup sugar
-
1/3 cup cocoa powder
-2 cup milk
-1 cup yogurt
-1 cup chopped dark chocolate
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1 pack agar-agar or gelatin powder

Method:
1.
Place the sugar, chocolate powder,agar-agar and milk in a heavy pan. Heat on a medium heat, add dark chocolate and stirring until chocolate and sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and stir until cool.
2.Add the yogurt and extract vanilla to the pudding mixture. Pour the pudding into a cup. Refrigerate and let it cool.
